As one of the largest UK stockist’s of vintage and antique chandelier replacement parts we obviously get a lot of calls asking for guidance when choosing a replacement chandelier part. This article covers the most frequently asked questions when choosing replacment bobeche.
Q. Are the bobeche on your website reproduction or genuine antique parts
A. We specialise in antique chandelier parts but we do sell new chandelier parts – please do not worry about ordering a new part in error these are shown in a totatally separate area of the website.
Q. What dimensions do I need to know before I start searching for a replacement bobeche?
A. It is important to know the size of the centre hole to ensure that the replacement bobeche will fit over your chandelier arm and sit correctly. You also need to know the overall dimension of the bobeche – it may not be too much of an issue if it differs by a few millimetres but you do not want a replacement that is significantally smaller or larger.
Q. I have found a bobeche on your website but it has less pin-holes than mine – can you drill more pin holes for me?
A. This will depend on the design and age of the replacement bobeche, please email us, firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting the item product reference detailing the number of pin holes you need and we will be able to advise if this is one we can modify for you. Please note that there is a charge for modifications and are subject to terms and conditions
