Chandelier Chain and hanging a chandelier

As the nights close in and winter approaches we all tend to look at our lighting and lamps and start to think about purchasing new or giving some TLC to our existing.

It isn’t always necessary to spend lots of money replacing your lighting, sometimes the simple things like updating your candle tubes with new – perhaps a different colour to compliment new décor and new ceiling roses will give that refreshed look with a good chandelier clean – all achieved without spending lots of money – a visit to http://www.kingschandeliers.co.uk/chandelier-parts-and-accessories.html should provide everything you need at extremely competitive prices and quick delivery.

BUT there is one aspect of your chandelier that you should NEVER try to save money on and that is the chandelier chain and chandelier hooks.  These are your safety mechanism and you need to make sure that you understand how you are installing your chandelier or how your chandelier installation company/chandelier electrician is going to install on your behalf.  Before you start looking for your chandelier chain and fixings you need to know the weight of your chandelier – if you cannot get an exact weight then take your best estimate and add some to it, you can then start searching for your fixings and your chandelier chain choosing by weight loading and not necessarily colour and style.

Remember the fixings need to be able to take the weight of the chandelier AND the chandelier chain, before you start installing you need to ensure that you or the people responsible for installing your chandelier load test the fittings AND the chain to ensure that 1) they are capable of taking the weight initially and 2) once they are installed but before hanging the chandelier they can take the weight loading once in situ.

Period or Funky?

When we announced our move of premises we promised there would be the introduction of new products – as these arrive and are listed on our various selling media’s we will post details here on our blog letting you be the first to know.

Chandelier restoration often calls for the traditional period style flex cable but listening to our interior designer and architect clients we are expanding our funky coloured flex cables.

Our already extensive colour ranges have now grown even further to include blues, greens, yellows and even Fudge Brown, these colours will compliment our existing colours including King’s Gold, Burgundy, traditional blacks and browns and many more.

With minimum order quantities of one metre buying your chandelier restoration products from King’s Chandelier Services Ltd means cost effective restoration projects and new hobbies.
